It is located in northwest Austin, Texas, near the rapidly growing suburban communities of Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock, and Lake Travis. The elder board of Hill Country Bible Church (HCBC) and a subcommittee of staff and church members developed a strategy to build a Christ-centered, Classical, college-preparatory school to serve local families. Forty-nine students were enrolled the inaugural year.
